Thanks you so much for your wensite. I can get lost for hours doing research. I come here for research on the Big Book and get more ideas and lose myself. I use your site so I can be of better service to the newcomer.
Keep up the great avocation, and if I can be of help, let me know.

Thank you so very much for your guidance!!! I am deeply grateful!!!

I will certainly check out that site and pursue inquiry with them. Regardless of what happens, I will use Tiebout’s work!

You must have a passion for the mission of AA since you support an independent site as additional contributions to their efforts! I herald your efforts and have been blessed by your offerings!

All my best to you always…

I have a keen interest in AA history, and spend hours browsing this site - just brilliant, and have recommended it to many of my Fellowship friends.
Am saddened that, towards the end of each month, my access is blocked by “unavailable due to exceeded monthly traffic quota”.
Does this mean I’m hogging too much of the site?
    Can this problem be overcome?
    In love & Service……Roger C

  17. Corky F. Says:

An excellent web site..I am still exploring it. I have 42 years of continuous active sobriety and as long as I’m learning and being challenged I’m happy. I am looking for a copy of Marty’s Primer on Alcoholism. Met the lady in 1972 at the U of north Dakota Summer School on Alcoholism. I have been busy in the filed ever since and at age 70 still am.

  26. Robert Says:

Thank You for this very important web site.
This has been very helpful in our local research of my home town (Muncie, IN) and East Central Indiana AA beginnings.

  27. Billy K. Says:

Do you have local AA history to add to the Global Map.
    not at the moment.

this site is fantastic and you are to be commended for
    your work.

i have been looking for a talk by bill wilson that he might
have given at the general service conference in 1962 but
    can’t find any.

there was a conference, right? do you know if bill talked
or did he miss this conference, and if so, why?

thank you and may god bless you for all your work.

I like your site. i am the author of “safe haven” in the fourth edition.

  29. Richard Says:

    Sir/maam’,

I have been strugling with the direction of my thoughts & character for about a year after an incident at my homegroup. Mostly, like many number of adverse & diffcult situations, was being directed by those elected/trusted servants fueled with human emotions. It forced me to reconsider what we were doing(our group purpose), and what I percieved what we were doing. And to get to the truth I did a most in depth inventory of my actions and the results they had on others. I found myself confused and unsure what I was doing, and what I professed. Or I might add, what I thought I knew. Now I understand what our author/s of the Big Book mean “we understand we know only a little. More will be disclosed…” in our journey. And I also truly concieve the importance of a reliance upon GOD, rather than a reliance upon human beings. This I have not lost. But, at the time I was activly sponsering 12 men in AA. And found that I truly didnt understand what SPONSORSHIP is, or the essence o! f what it was meant to be. Why tell you this, as tears stream down my face? My soul has cried for Gods guidance, and I have tirelessly sought for help from him. My morning prayers elicit tears of saddness and a feeling of great remorse in my previous assumptions. Today I believe I have found the the path he would see me begin anew. Discovering the books you have posted “readings pre-AA”, have opened my mind to the greatest understanding I have found in these last 13 months of darkness & unsurity that I have walked. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your work. And thank you for making these writing available for me & others who have let ego, pride & vain-glory misuse the gifts God has given me.

    Hi again Jim
I told a lovely chap(newcomer) about your site only 2wks ago, then last week he shared back to the group how very desperate he had been feeling. he passed on his gratitude to me during his share for telling him about your site and how much he had gotten out of it. Maybe this whole “mistake” has got us talking so you can learn how very very important your service is..never..NEVER, doubt for a moment that it saves lives, because it does and i have witnessed it. This guy was suicidal and found it near impossible to pick up the phone because his illness was playing roary hell in his head. YOUR SERVICE SUSTAINED HIM. I would be more than happy to assist in any way i can Jim, and fully appreciate and empathise with your problem. I assume that your set up in the states? I am in the U.K but still eager to help in any way i can and feel very strongly that this site needs to remain. Just tell me what i can do. sending much move to you Jim and thank God that he knows the outcome!!! xxx

  34. Jim Sc Says:

    I love this site!

I come here often and from the beginning, have used this site as a
source of inspiration and knowledge of the AA Way of Life.

    Thank You!

  35. Bill V Says:

Thank-you for taking the time to put all the 12 step prayers
and related information on this site. I LOVE the audio section to have
the BB read out loud! I am coming up on 4 years sobriety and it is
getting VERY difficult as I miss escaping more than ever now. When stress
hits, I don’t have the “f” it button to hit anymore and sail away in
some bar with strangers. This site comforts me as I am writing this note.
I live in Dallas, TX and want the mental warfare to subside. God bless
whoever you are that manages this site.
    Love your brother

In my judgment, in the history field–which is my interest–your site has long been one of the most informative, useful, and easily navigated sites on the net. I frequently cite it on my own website pages. Thank you. God Bless, Dick B.

What I am really saying is a big thank you for all your hard and
    excellent work.
